Horner Recruitment is proud to announce that we have been appointed as a Preferred Supplier for the provision of permanent and temporary staff on the WA Local Government Association (WALGA) contract.
With a long association within the government sector, in particular local government, we are excited for this opportunity to partner and support the WALGA members in Perth and Western Australia.
Our appointment to the panel is a reflection of the quality of staff and service Horner provides to our clients.
About WALGA
WALGA is the peak industry body in Western Australia and advocates on behalf of 139 WA Local Governments. WALGA is an independent, member based, not for profit organisation representing and supporting the WA Local Government sector since 2001. All Local Governments that are Members of WALGA are able to purchase goods, services and works through the extensive WALGA Preferred Supplier Panels (PSPs).
With a vision for agile and inclusive Local Governments that enhance community wellbeing and enable economic prosperity, we are excited to now be a WALGA Preferred Supplier to assist WALGA with this vision.
What categories on the WALGA contract has Horner been appointed to?
At Horner, we recruit at all employment levels from entry level to executive, across a broad range of employee categories.
Horner has successfully been approved to provide temporary and permanent recruitment services in Perth across the following categories:
- Community and Healthcare Services
- Corporate and Governance Services
- Engineering and Infrastructure Services
- Fleet Waste and Works Operations
- Parks and Garden Operations
- Planning and Regulatory Services
- Permanent Recruitment Services
The new contract commenced on July 1, 2022.
If you are a WALGA member you will be able to access our service through this contract at reduced rates and fees.
Horner works with a range of government organisations and departments (local, state & federal) and we are familiar with Government Policy Frameworks as they relate to recruitment and selection in relation to compliance, diversity, discrimination, purchasing and risk management. We have a respect, appreciation and understanding of compliance based requirements around recruitment including all forms of probity checks and pre-employment screening and we are practiced at applying these requirements at the required stages of any screening and selection process.
